Long-Term Care Options
The Living Benefits package, offered with any of the three life insurance products: Universal Life, Universal LifeEvents® and Guaranteed Universal Life, combines the best features of long-term care benefits and permanent life insurance into one product. With it, your benefits can be paid as a Death Benefit, as Living Benefits, or as a combination of both.
Death Benefit– Puts money in your family’s hands quickly when they need it most. It’s an unrestricted cash benefit, which means your family can use the money any way they need or want to.
- Rent or mortgage payments
- College tuition for children or grandchildren
- Debt reduction/elimination
- Retirement
- Funeral expenses
Living Benefits – Makes it easy to advance part of your death benefit to help pay for home healthcare, assisted living, adult day care or nursing home services should you or your spouse ever need it.
Terminal Illness Benefit – Advances 75 percent of the death benefit if your doctor determines your life expectancy is 24 months or less.
