In that time, we’ve learned that success comes from listening to what matters to our clients and using that knowledge to build trusted partnerships through innovative solutions and exemplary service.
What do we do?
Trustmark provides a range of enrollment and communication services to meet clients’ needs. Through these solutions, we provide products that increase the well-being and financial security of our policyholders.
Our company has its roots in the golden age of railroads. If a worker got hurt, which wasn’t uncommon when building the railroads, they were out on their own without a paycheck. Four men from Chicago decided to change that and formed a fraternal organization, called the Brotherhood of All Railway Employees (B.A.R.E.), to provide workers with reliable, desperately needed, disability and hospital benefits.
Over the course of more than 10 decades, what started as a small fraternal organization for railroad workers, grew into a small office in Chicago, and to a nearly billion dollar mutual company based in Lake Forest, Ill. with more than 2 million covered lives and 4,100 associates. In that time, Trustmark has not only grown in size but expanded into new industries and new lines of business. We now look forward to 100 more years of helping people increase well-being through better health and greater financial security.
